All Saints' Day in Spain. 1st of November

  2. 2. “ all saints” in spain In Spain the day called “All Saints” is celebrated on the first of November.
  3. 3. Halloween <ul><li>The disguise and trick or treat tradition is very new in Spain. It has been imported from the USA. But 15 years ago, nobody knew what Halloween was in our country. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Halloween of another way. <ul><li>One of the most typical traditions was and still is in the villages sitting down around a bonfire and telling ghost and frightening stories. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Another tradition <ul><li>Another tradition is visiting the dead people from the family who are buried in the cemetery. They put flowers all around the tombs and they clean them too. </li></ul>
  6. 6. More traditions <ul><li>In some regions in Spain, who were conquered by Celts in the past, they make big bonfires and they dance and sing around them with their faces painted in black by coal. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Typical Products <ul><li>When they tell stories, they distribute in the neighbourhood roasted chestnuts. This is a typical product from autumn time. They eat them together. </li></ul>
  8. 8. Other Typical Products <ul><li>There is another typical product:`huesos de santos´; literally traslated as `Saint`s bones´. It is basically a tube of marzipan filled with a cream made from egg yolks cooked with a sugar syrup. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Nowadays <ul><li>This beautiful traditions are being forgotten due to the American fashions. They are very funny and we can also enjoy them but we mustn`t forget our own traditions. </li></ul>
