  2. 2. TWO TYPES OF SURROGACYA Surrogate is a process of arrangement for women to carry and givebirth to a child who will be raised by others. This type of process used inthis generation, The surrogacy process only used females, other medicalissues which make pregnancy or delivery impossible, risky processotherwise undesirable, because the intended parents. The sperm oreggs may be provided by the parents, but donor sperm, eggs andembryos may also be used. If the surrogate receives compensationbeyond the reimbursement of medical and other reasonable expenses,otherwise it is often referred to as altruistic surrogacy. Surrogate is themedical process. Surrogacy method is used that type of parents.
  3. 3. HISTORYHaving another woman bear a child for a couple to raise, is referred toin antiquity. Babylonian law and custom allowed this practice andinfertile woman could use the practice to avoid the divorce, whichwould otherwise be inevitable .One well-known example is the Biblicalstory of Sarah and Abraham couple are used this surrogacy. TheAmerican idol star Chris also used surrogacy, the angel told her thather son Ishmael would become a leader amongst the Hebrews; shesubsequently returned to Sarah and Abraham. For example the cinemaactor Amir Khan, of Indian film industry, used surrogacy. In this societychildless parents use surrogacy. Number of people used this processto get children. Surrogacy is an easy process if proper care is taken.Sometimes, this surrogacy method is employed when a woman, due tosome or the other abnormal health problem, can’t deliver a child. Thereare two types in this method:

  5. 5. TRADITIONAL SURROGACYIn the process of Traditional Surrogacy, the surrogate may be the childGenetic mother. Means in this method it involves artificiallyinseminating a surrogate mother with the intended fathers sperm’s viaIUI or IVF or Home Insemination. Hence the child is GeneticallyRelated to its father and the surrogate mother.
  6. 6. GESTATIONAL SURROGACYIn this process Gestational Surrogacy the mother may be geneticallyunrelated to the child. When the intended mother is not able to carry ababy due to some diseases such as Diabetes, Cancer etc. her egg andintended father sperm are used to create an embryo via IVF by. Theresulting child is genetically related to its parents and not related to thesurrogate mother.
