Creating my front cover

 1. 1. Creating My Front Cover By Amy Bruce
 2. 2. My original front cover

Here is my first idea I had for my front

cover. I made the image back and white.

And made the rose and her lips stand

out by making them red. I did this by

simply shading it in and then fading the

colour .

I decided to go with a different

image as I didn’t think it was very

effective and when I posted some of

my images on facebook, this isn’t the

image that got the most positive

feedback.

 3. 3. What image was I going to use? This is an image that people really seemed to like when I posed it on facebook. Therefore this was the one I chose to start my new front cover.
 4. 4. Changing My Image BEFORE AFTER All that was changed was the darkness of her eyes. I zoomed in on the image and I used the Burn tool to create the eye shadow. I did this to catch the audiences attention and to make them feel as if she was looking even more directly a them. I wanted her eyes to be the first thing the audience notices.
 5. 5. Adding the text

I added the text. But I decide

wanted to make it stand out

more. I did this by writing the

same thing but putting it in a

different colour .

EXAMPLE For the name of my magazine and style of it, I took inspiration from Q magazine. As for my main headline I decided to place it in the centre at the bottom of the image. This was due to my research I did of front covers. For my other headlines I wanted the stories to be real, so I did some research and found some information of some artists were in my specific chosen genre.
