  2. 2. Woman would want a domeshape skirt because theybecame a fad.Slowly the skirts becamethinner also known as hobbleskirts.Would usually use silk withdresses.
  3. 3.  Corsets and petticoats Corsets were used to shrink your waist but the woman who wore them would often pass out. Petticoats were to keep the dome shape of there skirts.
  4. 4.  Gloves, purses, parasols(umbrella), fans, and jewelry (Cameo necklaces) The woman would carry parasols to keep there face out of the sun because it was important to be pale. For there jewelry they would often use pearls and cameo necklaces, which had faces on the charms.
  5. 5. •Stylesof hats and bonnetshave changed from timeperiods of 1844 to 1870.• The hats were mostly wornto important events morethan bonnets.
  6. 6. •Woman wouldoften wear bootsthat had long andhigh laces, knownas steeple boots.•The picture on theleft are old vintageshoes.
  7. 7. •In around 1870chatelaine bagsbecame a fad. Theywould hang from thewoman’s wrist orwaist.•These fashions wereinspired by queenVictoria.
  8. 8. •On the woman’s weddingdays they would wear whitegloves.•When they would go to theopera the woman would alsowhere gloves especiallywhen it was cold.
