After Mahindra’s $10 mn, Tata donates $50 mn to Havard<br />This is the largest gift the school has received from an international donor in its 102 year history.<br />The funds will be used to build a new academic and residential building on the school’s campus in Boston<br />Ratan Tata, chairman of Tata Sons Ltd since 1991, attended the school’s advanced management programme one of three leadership programmes offered by the school’s executive education programme.<br />

Infosys Q2 net rises 16.7% to Rs 1,737 crore<br />Its net profit for the second quarter rose to Rs 1,737 crore, up 16.7% compared to the preceding June period.<br />Revenues during the quarter to September were Rs 6,947 crore, reporting an annual growth of 24.4%.<br />For investors waiting to hear more positive commentary from Infosys, even 200% special dividend commemorating the company’s thirtieth year, failed to bring any cheer.<br />
  4. 4. Food Infaltion up at 16.37% vs 16.24%<br />India’s food price index rose 16.37% while the fuel price climbed 11.14% in the year to October 2.<br />In the prior week, annual food and fuel inflation stood at 16.24% and 10.73%, respectively.<br />

Surrender of Indian Passport for PIOs made mandatory<br />Persons of Indian origin will now have to formally renounce their citizenship and surrender their Indian Passport after acquiring foreign citizenship.<br />Canadian PIOs have to pay a fee of $168 to get their Indian Passport cancelled by country’s mission.<br />

BugattiVeyron to hit Indian roads at Rs Rs12crore<br />The fastest and perhaps the most expensive car on the planet, BugattiVeyron 16.4 Grand Sport, will hit the not-so-great Indian roads in the last week of this month.<br />The BugattiVeyron 16.4, which competes with the likes of Swedish Koenigsegg and American Ultimate Aero TT handmade for the top spot, has crossed the 430 km/hr mark to become the world’s fastest production car. <br />
