Project Scheduling<br /> Scheduling is the preparation of time table of the implementation of the activities and computation of resource required at different stage of time.<br /> It also identifying the task that are limited so that the entire project proceed in logical, orderly and systematic manner. <br />
  3. 3. Project Scheduling<br />The scheduling phase consist of determining:<br /><ul><li>Start and Finish times of each activity; the earliest and latest times at which event can occurs.
  4. 4. Critical activities that require special attention.
  5. 5. Allocating resources- men,machines,etc.,to each activity.
  6. 6. Slacks and floats for non-critical activities.
  7. 7. Various constraints due to limitation of resources. </li></li></ul><li>Objective of Scheduling<br /><ul><li>To achieve the required rate of output with a minimum of delay.
  8. 8. To provide quantities of good necessary to maintain finished inventories at level predetermined to meet delivery commitment.
  9. 9. The aim of loading and scheduling is to have maximum utilization of men, machine and material .

Manufacturing Facilities</li></li></ul><li>Types of Scheduling<br />Master Scheduling:<br /> Master Schedule gives the number of unit of different products to be produced for the whole year.<br />Parts Scheduling:<br /> Parts schedule gives the number of units of different product part to be produced for the given product . The schedule is prepared for a month .<br />Machine Loading Schedule:<br /> Machine loading schedule is the process of allocating work load for various machines. This schedule prepared for a period of one week.<br />
