1. Sales transactions in the store Theme: Credit Card transactions Gap: Threat of duplication, theft, manipulative transactions Opportunity:1. Finger print reader linked to respective Bank Account.2. Mobile scanner as used in Japan.Solution: Transaction cost reduces, theft and manipulation reduces.
2. Price tagTheme: Price tagGap: Almost invisible, people spend more time searching for the price, disappointment among other customers as the space get occupied.Opportunity:Increase the size (font) of the price, price could be easily identified from long distancesSolution: More foot falls in the store, no confusion on price, satisfaction and loyalty among customers.
3. Staff EmpowermentTheme: Least empowered StaffGap: Staff executives not trained on customer retention, Staff unwilling to participate in solving the issue raised by upset customer.Opportunity:Training workers, Educating the workers about customer interaction.Solution:Workers get more involved in the business, customer retention, quick solution to the customers, attrition reduces.
I was able to identify only three gaps in my locality.I shall be able to identify more in future.Thank you
