Howto Pbwiki2

 1. 1. HOW TO LOG IN TO A WIKI PBWIKI 2.0
 2. 2.

Your instructor has set up a wiki for use in your course.

If you don’t know what a wiki is, this video will explain: http://commoncraft.com/video-wikis-plain-english

 3. 3.

In order to edit your class wiki, you will need to log in to the wiki.

Your instructor has added all class members to the wiki and emailed you an invitation to join .

You will receive that email invitation in whatever email account the instructor used to invite you. For most of you that will be your Piperline preferred account.

 4. 4.

In your email account, you will open the email invitation , which will look like this. You will click on the link provided.

 5. 5.

What you do at this point depends on whether or not you already have a pbwiki account.

Some of you may.

Most of you will not.

View the following slides for what to do in either case.

 6. 6.

If you DO NOT ALREADY have a pbwiki account, you will need to first create one.

In a page that looks like below, you will enter your name (your choice) and create a password for your account (your choice). This password will be associated with the email address at which you received your invitation.

So for your own particular pbwiki account, you have a corresponding

email address (to which the initial email invite was sent),

password (that you have chosen yourself),

display name (that you have chosen yourself).

 7. 7.

You will then be in your own pbwiki account, similar to below, and can then click into the appropriate wiki.

 8. 8.

If you ALREADY have a pbwiki account, you will need to log in using that account information.

Enter your email address (the address that is associated with your pbwiki account) and your pbwiki account password (the password that you chose when you created your account).

 9. 9.

You should now be inside your wiki and be able to make edits.
