ALLIED POWER.• The main leaders of allied powers were:• Chaing Kai Shek joined the military at an early age and participated in the overthrow of the Ching Dynasty.• Winston Churchill Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of Great Britain.• Franklin Delano Roosevelt President Franklin Roosevelt was in the 1st year of an unprecedented third term as President.• Josef Stalin Josef Stalin, the Soviet Unions war leader during World War II (the Great Patriotic War to the Soviets), came to power after the death of Vladamire Lenin in the late 1920s.
ALLIED POWER.• The main generals and admirals were:• Dwight D. Eisenhower Dwight D. Eisenhower graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1915 and rose quickly through the ranks of the United States Army.• Douglas MacArthur General MacArthur served as the Commander of United States Forces Far East from 1941 until the end of the war in 1945.• Bernard Montgomery Great Britains most famous commander of World War II, Bernard Montgomery, would end the war with the rank of Field Marshall.• Chester Nimitz Admiral Chester Nimitz served as Commander- in-Chief US Pacific.• George S. Patton He served in the cavalry in the early part of the 20th century, was an early convert to tank warfare.
AXIS POWER.• The main leaders of axis power were:• Emperor Hirohito Considered a living god by his people, Hirohito assumed the Japanese throne in 1926.• Adolph Hitler Austrian born, Adolf Hitler would rise to become the leader of Germany and one of the most hated men in all of history.• Benito Mussolini Benito Mussolini worked as both a schoolteacher and as a journalist in his early years He also fought in World War II.• Tojo Hideki Tojo Hideki, a career Japanese officer, served as both Prime Minister for Japan as well as Army Minister.
AXIS POWER.• The main generals and admirals were:• Karl Donitz Admiral Karl Donitz was the German commander of the U-Boats and the German Navy.• Hermann Goering Hermann Goering, a veteran World War I pilot, served as the Commander-in-Chief of the German Luftwaffe.• Erwin Rommel General Erwin Rommel was one of Germanys best generals.• Yamamoto Isoroku Admiral Yamamoto, a career naval officer in the Imperial Japanese Navy, planned the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor.
