  2. 2. What is a QR code? A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional bar code that can be scanned by mobile devices with a camera and QR reader application. When scanned, a QR code links to a website, video, image, or text. © Amber Harris 2014
  3. 3. How do I use a QR code? 1. Download a QR code application on your Smartphone, iPad, or other mobile device. 2. Open the application. It may automatically activate the device’s camera or you can choose the scan feature. 3. Align the QR code in the image window. © Amber Harris 2014
  4. 4. How do I Create QR Codes? There are several websites that will create QR codes for you. One easy one is: https://qrcode.kaywa.com/ http://www.qrstuff.com/ is a cool generator that creates color QR codes. http://www.qrexplore.com/generate/ allows you to create up to 100 codes at the time. © Amber Harris 2014
  5. 5. Select the type of information your QR code will display. For plain text, choose the More drop-down arrow. © Amber Harris 2014
  6. 6. Type in the URL that you want to link to or the text to display. Click Generate. © Amber Harris 2014
  7. 7. Right click on the QR code and select Save As or Copy. Insert the QR code into your document. © Amber Harris 2014
