Ziauddin Hospital Introduction of the founder : Dr. Sir Ziauddin Ahmed former Vice Chancellor & Rector of Aligarh Muslim University was an eminent mathematician, atop educationist and above all a very great humanitarian and benefactor of the Muslims of Indo Pakistan Subcontinent. He has left indelible mark on our education system and our nation owe him a great deal. Chairman: Dr. Asim Hussain is the chairman of Ziauddin Group of Hospitals in Karachi, and former Advisor of Prime Minister for Ministry of Oil and Natural Resources.
  3. 3. Ziauddin Hospital Introduction of the hospital: Operating under Ziauddin Trust, Dr. Ziauddin Group of Hospitals is one of the largest private groups in the country. Its mission has been to reach out to the masses and cater to their needs of quality health care facilities at affordable rates in the country. It began with a small maternity home and has grown its services exponentially over the years to include five hospitals in total, including three tertiary care facilities, responding to healthcare needs of the people. The mission is to “serve the humanity in lower cost and be more enthusiastic for upcoming challenges”

Policies and Goals: According to the organization policies and rules every new employee after completing three years of job they start getting the benefit of 35% medical allowance after each 3months. Goal is to maintain their level of management to the International Standards. Employee benefits/compensation: There are some compensation which is offered for lower level managers like 50% off on OPD, Doctor’s fee, Consultancy, E.R, Admission, Tools, Lab tests and the medicines. The hospital also provides accommodation (hostel) on low cost for the employees that include doctors, guards, staff, etc.
  10. 10. Compensation is also offered to the staff for their night shifts, compensation include: • Night Allowance. • Inchargeship Allowance. • Critical Allowance. The leadership style in this organization(hospital) is democratic and the power is being shared with the employees.
  11. 11. Controlling The controlling program is practiced by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). HR department and ER are re-demonstrated for employee satisfaction and convenience. Quality of health and patient safety is the obligation of JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) and this hospital is certified from it.
