What is prey? • IDEAS? • Predator: – A biotic factor that limits the size of populations – For example, by one organism feeding on another organism (living thing) • Prey: – an organism that is killed • The size of the predator population and prey population depend on each other

  4. 4. Analysing predator-prey graphs • If the prey population grows (increases), the number of predators also increases, due to the greater amount of food • However, the predator population will eventually limit the food supply
