

Worker: a person employed to do phisical work rather than (= invece di) organizing things or
managing people.

Microeconomic: microeconomic studies behaviur of single economic agents and the way in
which individual choises interact in specific markets .
Macroeconomic: macroeconomic studies the consumer’s behaviur of the economy as a whole.

 Consumption: the act of using goods and services to satisfy needs.
 Saving: an amount of something, such as time or money, that you don’t need to use or spend.
(definizione economica di “saving”: the situation when income is greater than the money spent)
o Good: mean that must satisfy customer’s needs.
o Need: state of unsatisfaction that individual feels need to satisfy
 Tax wedge: The difference between before-tax and after-tax wages. The tax wedge
measures how much the government receives as a result of taxing the labor force.

 O.E.C.D.= an organization of 30 countries that produces economic information, helps
government decide the best economic policy and encourages trade.

ECONOMIC SYSTEM
Banks supply their borrowings to enterprises and they give back those money with intress.
Enterprises ask for work to households, that receive salary or wage. Salary and wage make income,
that households spend to buy goods and services that are produced by enterprises.
Households give they saving to banks and they give back intress.
Government supplies public services to households and enterprises and they pay taxes.
Enterprises export their goods in the rest of the world (exported goods) and it imports their
goods in own country (imported goods).
