2. 2010 Wines Approximately 1600 tonnes harvested Varieties include; Chardonnay, Savignonblanc, Pinot gris, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sayvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Marzimino and small amounts of Temperanillo and Pinot noir Church Road is most well known for Chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux blends.
3. Vintage Staff Apologies for the blurry pictures! I was on day shift with 2 other casual staff members Amy and Craig, and 2 permanent staff, Wayne and Steve, in the winery as well as the lab staff, wine makers and cellar master.
4. Induction Vineyard tour taken by Chris Scott. During induction we also covered health and safety and the different wines produced by Church Road Winery and their place in the market.
5. Highlights One of my main jobs during vintage was managing red fermentations, all red ferments this year were rummaged, I also micro-oxygenated them. At the end Amy and I dug out an 18’000L Cuve... It was awesome!
