There are many more things, The marathons help raise money in different ways for
example some marathons will raise money for the distance that they have ran and
sometimes for how many people are running.
The most common way people raise money from youngsters like one direction members
to singers like Jessie j who shave all their hair off to support those who have this awful
illness. Once you have shaved your hair off they would ask for donations the same can
be done with a sponsored silence.
They can also do good things for donations like giving balloons out to little kids on the
high street. There are much more simpler and less complicated ways to raise money like
getting any loose change you have everyday and putting it into a money box an then at
the end of the month donating it to cancer research uk. You can also do an auction of all
the unwanted items in your household. This charity also gives fundraising packs to help
people raise money suggesting new ideas. Other ways that people may do something
positive for patients is by cutting their hair to make wigs made out of real hair or them.
There are 2 types of cancer research one being the experimental research and one
being the observation research. Experimental research is where the scientists are
working in the laboratories to find a cute. The observational research is where the
researchers will see the patients and figure out ways to help them emotionally. Finding a
cure for cancer may still take time but this charity is well on it's way to finding it even £2
a month can provide scientists with latest equipment to use. With this charity scientists
have found that 50% of people suffering with cancer have survived 10 or more years.
