  2. 2. Palamedes Swallowtail Ashton W. Mrs. Beaman First grade 2010 My butterfly lives in wet woods and near rivers and swamps. My butterfly drinks nectar from pepperbush and thistles. The wingspan is 4 ½-5 1/8 inches. My butterfly’s colors are yellow, black and tan.
