A short overview of the impact survey done by Dialogic where 169 key executives of Service Providers and Application
Developers gave their opinion on the impact of WebRTC on their business model. (Results 2013)
Opportunities
- 87% indicating that WebRTC is significant to their product roadmaps
- 38% believe that it offers a major benefit to Unified Communications
- 36% think it will have impact to the Education market
- 17% believe in great opportunity for Video Entertainment
- Followed by online gaming (14%), healthcare (13%), financial services (11%), and hospitality (9%).

- 34% Experience a challenge in Interoperability and standardization
- 30% Encounter complexity of mixing video, voice and data streams
