  6. 6. We have access to VC’s and Business Angels, who are particularly interested in rescue situations.
  7. 7. They will all work quickly, meeting clients within a few days.</li></li></ul><li>TURNAROUND CONSULTANCY<br /><ul><li>Our Client may have an excessive debt burden, preventing the introduction of new capital.
  8. 8. We can restructure the business through a CVA, IVA or Administrative Order with the assistance of one of the Insolvency Practitioners from our panel.
  9. 9. We have in-house Managers who are skilled in directing Clients towards long term solutions.
  10. 10. We can then approach Lenders and Angels, to support the stable business.

This is particularly important if you happen to hold a debenture with the Client.<br />We may be able to replace or purchase your debt.<br />

SHAREHOLDERS - VC’s, Private Investors<br />We may be an alternative to you cutting your losses or providing further funding.<br />INSOLVENCY PRACTITIONERS<br /><ul><li>If your Client can be rescued with additional finance, we may be able to help you. Our funders can put money into Administrations, CVAs or buy Receiverships.

Guarding, Cash in Transit and Cash Processing. September 02<br /> £2.5 million turnover family business with a barely positive balance sheet and severe cash flow issues. The Accounts function was minimal with little Financial Direction. Decisions were taken without understanding the financial strength of the business. Poor Management and supervision. <br />What did we do?<br /> Arranged a CVA to alleviate creditor pressure.<br /> Installed three Marshvale Associates to operate the Accounts, with one joining the Board as Company Secretary and Deputy M.D.<br /> Instigated an Investors in People program. Successfully awarded December 2002<br /> Pushed ahead with a dormant Quality Management project. Successfully awarded Gold Standard in March 2003.<br /> Resolved an outstanding Shareholder problem using a firm of Lawyers on our panel.<br /> Excellent performance turn around. Handed the control back to the family in February 2004.<br />
  18. 18. MARSHVALE PORTFOLIO<br />Plastics Manufacturing. Somerset. September 2009 T/o £875,000<br />Our client manufactures specialist components to OEMs. The year 2008 was very profitable . Then the crunch hit. Sales dropped dramatically and a leading customer was unable to settle his account, leading to a virtual bad debt.<br /> <br />What did we do?<br /><ul><li>We designed a realistic new business strategy which had direct costs and overheads in line with turnover and contribution.
  19. 19. We formulated a detailed (daily) cashflow forecast which stretched forward 6 months to include a healthy order book.
  20. 20. Two trade investors were approached. One liked the company and our plans for growth. He quickly injected working capital in return for a fair share of the business.</li></ul>All aged creditors have received payment in full as promised. No jobs were lost. The future looks good.<br />

September 2009 T/o £625,000<br />This long established business had a number of cashflow problems which were under control until a 2 year old dispute with a former customer became “legal” thereby posing a real threat to its continued existence.<br /> <br />We are assisting the client to regain profitability. The legal action would have been too expensive for our client, so with falling sales due to the credit crash, the Company went into CVL.<br /> <br />The assets were subsequently purchased by the Management and the business is now back on it’s feet.<br />
  22. 22. MARSHVALE PORTFOLIO<br />Transport and Warehousing. Somerset. February 2010 t/o £9 m<br />The performance of the business was steadily falling. The Company produced a forecast showing a worsening situation. An immediate stabilisation process was necessary. We were engaged to stop the decline. <br />What did we do?<br /><ul><li>We conducted a business review to investigate whether the company could return to profit without restructure or refinance.
  23. 23. We instigated 6 key initiatives to reverse the decline by increasing gross margins and preserving working capital.
  24. 24. We held meetings with the Bank and Invoice Discounter. They decided to support our plans.</li></ul>The first 9 months were each profitable resulting in a remarkable turnaround. The company is now over the crisis and is in a stable state.<br />
