  1. 1. The Biggest Obstacle• If you’re attempting to lose weight or maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle, one of the biggest obstacles is that of eating out.
  2. 2. The Nutritional information• While some restaurants will disclose their nutritional information on a readily available source such as their menu, there are many that do not.
  3. 3. The Dieter’s Worst Nightmare• For some places, their foods are a dieter’s worst nightmare. However, there are several websites and resources available that bring the nutritional information to the public so that they can make informed decisions.
  4. 4. Calorie Apps• Not only are there websites that allow you to view nutritional information, but there are also apps that allow you to see it while on the go.
  5. 5. Websites• While there are many websites that claim to have the nutritional data of most restaurants, some have more information than others. Some of the most thorough websites are:••
  6. 6. Highly Acclaimed Websites• These sites are highly acclaimed and are known to have the nutritional information for over 500 restaurants and include thousands upon thousands of foods.

Checking The Restaurant’s Menu• These are useful in regards to the fact that they allow you to check a restaurant’s menu prior to leaving and deciding what the best option is at that given location. Many of these are now also incorporating the ability to create a profile and track what you eat.
  8. 8. Monitor What You Eat• Monitoring what you eat can be incredibly important if you are trying to lose or maintain a certain weight. The added benefits of some of these sites are that they have also developed phone apps in order to make their data portable.
  9. 9. Phone Apps• You don’t always know exactly when or where you’ll go out to eat, so having the ability to get on a computer to check a nutrition website is not always feasible.
  10. 10. Phone Apps• That is why many sites such as: CalorieKing and MyFitnessPal have created phone apps that allow users to take all of the information of their websites with them.
  11. 11. Location By GPS• These apps let you quickly choose a location, by GPS or by searching, and then sort through the menu items to make a selection. These apps also typically let you record what it is that you ate in order to track your personal nutritional information
  12. 12. Calorie Counters• There are many calorie counters available, but some are more in depth than others. Sites like myfitnesspal, calorieking, and calorielab all allow you to choose foods from restaurants. This allows you to stay within your nutritional limits even while eating out.

Using Websites & Apps• This means that you do not need to be confined to eating only foods that have a nutrition label or ones in which you know the exact ingredients.• Using websites and apps, it is now becoming easier than ever for you to keep track of everything that you eat and achieve your nutritional goals.
