  3. 3. Finding Joy in Poverty … and Plenty … ?Financially, are YOU ‘poor’ or ‘rich’ ?What is ‘contentment’ ?Where do you find ‘Joy’ ?Who defines ‘generosity’ ?
  4. 4. Financially, are you ‘poor’ or ‘rich’ ?Regular food, shelter, fuel, clean water [top 50%]Income of £16,000 and assets of £39,000 [top10%]Money saved, a hobby, clothes, own home, 2 carsIncome of £32,000 and assets of £320,000 [top1%]Isn’t it all relative?

  14. 14. Mark 12: 41-42Jesus sat down opposite the place where theofferings were put and watched the crowd puttingtheir money into the temple treasury. Many richpeople threw in large amounts. But a poor widowcame and put in two very small copper coins, worthonly a fraction of a penny.

  16. 16. 1 Timothy 6: 17-18Command those who are rich in this present worldnot to be arrogant nor to put their hope inwealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hopein God, who richly provides us with everything forour enjoyment.Command them to do good, to be rich in gooddeeds, and to be generous and willing to share. Inthis way they will lay up treasure for themselves ...so that they may take hold of life that is truly life.
