The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved five Stop smoking
medication aids all of which are effective. Among these four are nicotine
replacement therapies like gum, inhaler, nasal spray and patches which relieve
the smoker of withdrawal symptoms and cravings for cigarette without the
dangers of carbon monoxide, tar and carcinogens. The other medication is a non-
nicotine agent called Zyban or Wellbutrin.
