Web Cam Installation

  1. 1. FACULTY OF E-TEACHING WEBCAM INSTALLATION MANUAL [ i-Smart 5mpx ]
  2. 2. PART-1 Steps to Uninstall your Webcam  [Note: You need to sign in with administrator privileges to perform this operation]
  3. 3. <ul><li>DISCONNECT your Webcam before you start! </li></ul><ul><li>Go To: Start>Control Panel </li></ul>
  4. 4. Double-Click: Add/Remove Programs> A window will open
  5. 5. Find your Web-cam's name in the list
  6. 6. Click on the 'remove' button. A blue window will open
  7. 7. Select 'remove' option & click 'next'.
  8. 8. A small confirmation box will appear. click 'yes'
  9. 9. Click 'Finish' Thus you have successfully uninstalled your webcam.
  10. 10. PART-2 Steps to Install your Webcam  [Note: You need to sign in with administrator privileges to perform this operation] Please DO NOT CONNECT your Webcam till I say!
  11. 11. Insert your Webcam’s installation CD into your CD/DVD drive [do not remove it till I say] Go to ‘My Computer’ & double click on the CD/DVD icon. The Webcam’s installation window will open
  12. 12. Click on the ‘PC Camera Driver’ button. A blue screen will appear.
  13. 13. Click ‘Next’
  14. 14. Select the option ‘Complete’ & click ‘next’.
  15. 15. Click on the ‘Install’ button. A small warning window will appear.
  16. 16. Click on ‘Continue Anyway’ button.
  17. 17. Click ‘Finish’.
  18. 18. NOW CONNECT YOUR WEBCAM Check whether a small popup appears at the bottom-right corner of your screen showing your webcam’s name
  19. 19. A ‘Found New Hardware Wizard’ window will appear. Select the ‘Yes, this time only’ option & click ‘next’
  20. 20. Select the option ‘Install the hardware automatically [recommended]’ & click ‘next’.
  21. 21. Click the ‘Continue Anyway’ button on the warning window.
  22. 22. Click the ‘finish’ button to finish the installation & check whether a ‘web camera is plugged in’ message appears on the bottom-right corner of your screen.
  23. 23. Now go to ‘My Computer’. You will see a camera’s icon. Double click on that.
  24. 24. Your camera’s light will start glowing, & a window will open showing your video! Thus you have successfully Installed your webcam!.
