Can I Create HTML5 like I Create HTML? <ul><li>Yes and No! </li></ul><ul><li>HTML5 is just a markup with additional tags, so YES, you can write HTML5 like you write HTML </li></ul><ul><li>BUT </li></ul><ul><li>Common misconception is that “HTML5 automatically supports animation etc.” </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Animations are usually supported through CSS3 and use of JavaScript </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Real power of HTML5 is unleashed when it is used along with CSS3 and JavaScript </li></ul>

Challenges for HTML5 adoption in eLearning <ul><li>Adobe Flash will be the dominant medium for eLearning content for a while </li></ul><ul><ul><li>A lot of eLearning content is written in Flash and will remain that way </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A lot of Flash programmers work on creating eLearning courses </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Web developers will adopt HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript combination, but they are not necessarily content developers </li></ul></ul>
