1. 1. John 2.6

"Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father's house a marketplace!"

This is my favorite quote by Jesus. It is one of only times you get to see a view of Jesus with anger. He was telling merchants to leave the temple because they werent even there to pray.

 2. 2. John 4.13-15

" Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life."

This quote is trying to say that we cant just life off of natural nutrition but we also need spiritual nutrition. Jesus is also saying that he is the key to eternal life .

 3. 3. John 6.29

"This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

This is Jesus saying that he is the work of God, by being on earth doing Gods work.

 4. 4. John 7.28-30

"You know me, and you know where I am from. I have not come on my own. But the one who sent me is true, and you do not know him. I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me."

This is Jesus saying that he was sent from a divine power. He is saying that he came by the will of his father.

 5. 5. John 7.33-35

"I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me,you will search for me, but you will not find me; and where I am you cannot come."

Jesus is talking about going to heaven to be with God, who sent him. He also is saying that they will try to find him but they will not. Jesus explains that they cannot come.

 6. 6. John 13.38

"Will you lay down your life for me? Very truly, I tell you, before the cock crows, you will have denied me three times."

This is Jesus tell Peter that he will betray Jesus. Jesus predicts right, and Peter notices what he did and was very sad.

 7. 7. John 8.12

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life."

This quote means that we have to follow Jesus in the right path. He is saying we will stay out of hell if we stay with him.

 8. 8. John 8.19

"You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my father also."

By Jesus saying this he is saying that he and God are together in one being. He is saying that if he truly knew Jesus he would know that they were the same person. He comes off a little strong when saying this but it is a good lesson.

 9. 9. John 8.34

"Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not have a permanent place in the household; the son has a place there forever. So if the son make you free, you will be free indeed."

The lesson Jesus is making is that when you commit a sin you have to live with that. He also is saying that it comes back and haunts you.

 10. 10. John 5.19-21

"Very truly, I tell you, the son can do nothing on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing; for what ever the Father does, the Son does likewise. The Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing; and he will show him greater works than these, so that you will be astonished."

This is a great quote that relates to my life. Jesus is saying that a son looks up to his father and will do everything life his father. Jesus is doing as his father does by leading us on the right path.
