  2. 2. Diagnosing the Learning Situation  Using our practice calendar we will prepare situations for our players to get better. Some of these drills and practices will challenge our girls to get better as individuals and as a softball team.
  3. 3. Learner Characteristics  13 girls around the age of 15  Varying skill level  Two girls are below average  Four have never played softball before  Majority of the girls seem to be in good physical shape  Three girls seem to be slightly out of shape

Goal of Learning  Our goal for this 9th grade team is to make them better all around softball players.  Finding each one of their strengths and weakness to figure out where they fit best on the field  These girls need to put forth their strongest effort to get better as a softball player and as a teammate
  5. 5. Characteristics of the Target Skill  All Discrete open skills involving large and small muscles  All 3 skills require object manipulation  Throwing and fielding involves speed accuracy

  7. 7. Throwing  Game Feedback:  Need to work on our warm up before the game to make our throwing more accurate.  Arm angle  Ball positioning in hand  Follow through aim
  8. 8. Bunting  Game Feedback:  We had trouble bunting during our game so we are going to breakdown the fundamentals of that skill.  Positioning in box  Bat angle  Body positioning  Arm positioning
  9. 9. Fielding  Game Feedback:  We had trouble as a team with fielding, to limit the errors for the next game we need to breakdown the fundamentals of fielding.  Body positioning in front of the ball  Head down  Glove down  Good athletic position to field a ball
