  8. 8. Backbiting (Gheebah) “Do not backbite each other, would any of you wish to eat the flesh of your dead brother, no rather you would hate it! ” [Hujurat: 12]
  9. 9. • Once a woman visited Aisha (r.a) and when the woman got up to leave, Aisha (r.a) made a sign with her hand indicating to the Prophet that the woman was short of stature. The Prophet (s.a.w) immediately chastised her, saying, “You have said a saying that if mixed with the sea it would change its colour.” [Abu Dawood]
  10. 10. ‫ل‬ ٍ‫ة‬َ‫ز‬َ‫م‬ُ‫ه‬ ِّ‫ل‬ُ‫ك‬ِّ‫ل‬ ٌ‫ل‬ْ‫ي‬َ‫و‬ٍ‫ة‬َ‫ز‬َ‫م‬ “Woe to every slanderer and backbiter.” [Humaza: 1] “The telltale will not enter paradise.”[Bukhari and Muslim]

Why to Think before we speak??? ُ‫ن‬‫م‬ْ‫ؤ‬ُ‫م‬ْ‫ٱل‬ َ‫ح‬َ‫ل‬ْ‫ف‬َ‫أ‬ ْ‫د‬َ‫ق‬ََ‫و‬‫۝‬ ْ‫م‬‫ه‬‫ت‬ َ‫ََل‬‫ص‬ ‫ى‬‫ف‬ ْ‫م‬ُ‫ه‬ َ‫ين‬‫ذ‬َّ‫ٱل‬ ََ‫و‬ُ‫ع‬‫ش‬ٰ‫ـ‬َ‫خ‬‫۝‬ ‫ٱل‬ ‫ن‬َ‫ع‬ ْ‫م‬ُ‫ه‬ َ‫ين‬‫ذ‬َّ‫َٱل‬‫و‬‫و‬ْ‫غ‬َّ‫ل‬ ‫۝‬ََ‫و‬ُ‫ض‬‫ر‬ْ‫ع‬ُ‫م‬ “Indeed successful are the believers, those who in their prayer have Khushoo’ and those who refrain from vain talk.” [Mumineen: 1-3]

  16. 16. Don’t mix bad words with your bad mood! You will have many opportunities to change your mood, but you will never get the opportunity to replace the words you spoke.
  17. 17. “Do not indulge in excessive talk except when remembering Allah. Excessive talking without the Remembrance of Allah hardens the heart; and those who are the farthest from Allah are those whose hearts are hard.” [At-Tirmidhi]
