How does your media product represent particular social groups.

  1. 1. How does your media productrepresent particular social groups? Aimee Bracebridge
  2. 2. Our film is based ona horror and thesocial group wehave focused on isteenagers, we havetwo main characterswhich are Ben andmyself, we are both17 and averageteenagers.
  3. 3. How clothing represents teens.Fashionabletrousers. Not too bright colours so does not stand out. Jacket for going Glasses to show out. intelligence.Hood up to notstand out. Popular jumper, fashionable . Dark jacket again Dark trousers. to not stand out. Fashionable wellingtons.
  4. 4. How makeup represents teens. When going to a party teenage girls usually wear make up so I have taken a screen shot ofwhere you can see the main female characters makeup, particularly the long eyelashes.Very rarely girls go to a party without makeup so this helps the audience with the storylineto know that they are stereotypical teenagers where the girls wear makeup and the boysdress relatively smart as shown by the main male character.
  5. 5. How props used represent teens. They find a torch after they thought they would need one. This is particularly typical of teenagers not being prepared. Usually teenagers just dress up to go to a party they don’t think about anything else such as travel, money and in this case a torch.
  6. 6. How sound has been used to represent teens. We have used diegetic sounds, the birds tweeting shows the main female character taking her time, almost lazy like a stereotypical teenager.
  7. 7. How camera angles represent teenagersWe have used a range of different camera anglesto represent teenagers, in this case we used aclose up to show Bens facial expression.
  8. 8. How dialogue represents teenagersThe way teenagers speak is very important, we triedto use dialogue which is typical for teenagers. Weused a hint of sarcasm in our tone and a lack ofpatience which most teenagers have.
  9. 9. How setting represents teenagersThe setting is extremely important. A lot of rebelliousteenagers often go to empty fields and forest to party, inthis case an old bunker. They walk through empty fields toget there however do not make it.
