The Black Women in Europe™ blog, created in 2006 by Adrianne George, released its third Black Women in Europe™: Power List 2012 that pays tribute to 11 women in the categories of Law, Entertainment, Media, Politics & Activism, The Arts, Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy.
“For the third year in a row the Black Women in Europe™: Power List continues to shine a light on amazing women doing amazing things”, George explains. “It fills me with joy to be able to share their achievements with the world”.

The2011 list named 35 women in 9 categories. This year we name 11women in the following categories: Law, Entertainment, Media,Politics & Activism, The Arts, Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy.This list, presented in alphabetical order, is intended toacknowledge powerful black women in Europe and to inspireothers to reach their full potential.

She is the 2012 Maisha Gala Entrepreneur of the Year, creator of the Black Women in Europe™: Power List and founder of the award-winning Black Women in Europe™ Blog, social network and LinkedIn Group. She is a board member of Democrats Abroad Sweden, American Women’s Club in Stockholm and the Black European Women’s Council. Currently residing in California, he has lived in the UK, Spain and Sweden working on various international graphic identity and commercial interior architectural design projects. Derek is the Creative Director of Black and for the AG Communication Group and its associated brands.
