Program Communication  March 2018 – Move the role of Communications and Knowledge Management Coordinator from ILRI to IITA  ILRI retains the technical backstopping functions for online platforms.  Africa RISING East and Southern Africa and West Africa to recruit project communication specialists
  3. Monitoring and Evaluation March 2018 – recruit embedded M&E specialists for each of the three regional projects This team will assist with data collection, upload and M&E within projects and across the program
  4. Data Management Plan July 2018 – IFPRI to revise in order to streamline with: • donor requirements, • projects needs • Across the program All partner contracts/agreements to have a budget line indicating the costs of data upload
  5. Science Advisory Group (SAG) October 2018 – revisit the role of SAG and see how best to engage them in this phase Current proposal: • engage some of them in the planned internally commissioned external review planned for this year • request to review project/program documents as need arise
  6. Internally Commissioned External Review October 2018 – ICER of the program to be organised as follows: • Ethiopia and West Africa – June to October 2019 • East and Southern Africa – January to March 2020 • Final reports planned for July 2020
  7. SI Assessment Framework October 2018 – need to operationalize the SI Assessment framework • All partners to collect data across all the SI domains when evaluating a technology • Agree on some minimum data sets to be collected for all AR technologies being evaluated.
  8. Communities of Practice October 2018 – Communities of Practice set up in 2017 to facilitate harmonization across the program. • CoPs have not been effective for achieving the intended goal. • PCT and Chief Scientists will take up this role through Task Forces which will be set up on a case by case basis (eg. ICT, methodologies)
