This graph shows the number of males and females we issued our questionnaire to. We asked more males because the genre of our film is more favourable by men, however we still asked a sufficient number of women. This graph shows the ages of the people we asked. The majority of respondents were 17-21 which benefited us greatly as this age group is our target audience. Through asking our target audience, we can gain greater understanding of what they want. This graph shows that people go to the cinema on a regular basis which reassures us that our film will be watched by many.
This graph shows that horror is a favourite among the people we asked so we can be confident that our film will be successful as it is a popular genre. This graph shows the different means of marketing a film. It can be seen here that film trailers is the best method of creating awareness about a newly released film. This response is good as we are going to make a teaser trailer. This graph shows that people thought that our film would be suited to a horror genre. This is good because we want to do a horror genre and the responses from the people we asked shows that they agree with us.
This graph shows that the most popular choice of location for our film would be a forest or a wood. This is good for us because we wanted to locate our film in a forest and this shows that it would be a popular choice. The question following the last asked the respondent to briefly outline the plot of the film. These responses cannot be put into graphs. However, the responses were quite positive because they mostly reflected what our idea of the film would be. Therefore we can be sure that the audience will be interested in the film. The next question asked to respondent to refer to the previous teaser trailer they saw and state what was effective about it. We had a variety of replies which stated what they thought what makes a teaser trailer effective including tense music, increasing speed of scenes, use of text, high action clips, and good use of enigma codes. We shall therefore build upon these responses and try to add them into our trailer to make it as effective as possible.
