  • is a great example of a niche site to demonstrate because we are able to see a lot of different types of affiliate links worked into the same blog.
  • Often I see new bloggers using Google Adsense either in the sidebars or directly in the posts. It’s a good way to start but has pros and cons.
  • Whether you work directly with a merchant or through a network, there are some standard banner sizes. You can also request special banners. You need to research to figure out which merchants fit your site and apply to their programs. Some banners are static while others will rotate for you.
  • Add specific products through images or text links. Depending on your level of experience, you may want to use a plugin like PopShops.
  • Link directly to items or search results on eBay. Also use phpBay to automatically change your content and refresh your links.
  • Sometimes widgets can be a little bit tricky to add depending on your blog platform. However, once you get them added, you get great interactive content.
  • Some of these do not fall into traditional affiliate marketing and most of them could be their own entire session. Video is up and coming and people are finding new ways to make money off of it. CPA/CPM is something that you will hear a lot about at some of the Affiliate Summit booths and sessions and worth looking into if you have a lot of traffic.
