  3. 3. <ul><li>STaR is the online resource tool for self-assessment for campus/districts to rate themselves on the integration of technology across the curriculum </li></ul><ul><li>Aligned with the Texas Long-Range Plan for Technology (LRPT) 2006-2020 </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>All teachers are required by federal reporting requirements to participate in the online survey </li></ul><ul><li>NCLB Act of 2001 require that a child be computer literate by the end of 8 th grade </li></ul><ul><li>NCLB, Title II, Part D states that all teachers should be technology literate and integrate technology across curriculum </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>State funded technology grants require a STaR report to be filed with the application </li></ul><ul><li>Campus and/or district will refer to the results when engaging in technology planning and budgeting. </li></ul><ul><li>Identify equipment or professional development needs of staff </li></ul><ul><li>Identify progress towards mastery of the Texas Long-Range Plan for Technology </li></ul>
