  2. 2. In this presentation we are going to talk about ecotourism and their education, what the government offers to this specific area of tourism and a tourism development plan.
  3. 3. Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and sustains the well-being of local people.Ecotourism requires a proactive approach that seeks to mitigate the negative and enhance the positive impacts of nature tourism
  4. 4. Ecotourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel. This means that those who implement and participate in ecotourism activities should follow the following ecotourism principles:● Minimize impact.● Build environmental and cultural awareness and respect.● Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts.● Provide direct financial benefits for conservation.● Provide financial benefits and empowerment for local people.● Raise sensitivity to host countries political, environmental, and social climate
  5. 5.  Emphasizes local participation, ownership and business opportunities for the rural. Offers courses in schools and universities of ecotourism. Builds environmental awareness.
  6. 6.  This government organization helps eco-friendly projects. The requirement to applying this help is to have a project proposal. If the proposal is accepted by theConservation Trust of Haru the government can work on the project.  This government organization promotes the environment conservation. Is linked to with sustainable tourism ideals.
  7. 7. The government organization will provide the budget for this project and will provide other benefits like:1. Security2. Administrative personal3. Maintenance and food services personal and publicity
  8. 8. Community-based Ecotourism is a form of tourismwhere the local community has substantial controlover, and involvement in, its development andmanagement, and a major proportion of thebenefits remain within the community.
  9. 9. This type of tourism can represent an economicdevelopment alternative for the indigenous community ofHaru. Community-based ecotourism appeals to travelersseeking some type of experiential tourism product such asadventure touring, animal watching, nature tourism andcultural and heritage tourism. Its objective is provide thenecessary information about the conservation of naturalresources and cultural/heritage through educationalactivities.
