Climate & Energy <ul><li>Our long-term goal is to reach a day where all of our energy comes from a renewable source. </li></ul><ul><li>We have set several benchmarks along the way to improve the energy efficiency of our stores and trucking fleet. Today we are working to: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Make existing stores 20 percent more efficient in seven years </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Make new stores up to 25 - 30 percent more efficient in four years </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Make our truck fleet 25 percent more efficient in three years, double in 10 years </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Eliminate 20 million metric tons of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from Walmart's global supply chain by the end of 2015. </li></ul></ul>

Energy Use and GHG Management <ul><li>All Walmart facilities and suppliers MUST : </li></ul><ul><li>Monitor facility energy consumption, including fuel use for transportation as well as inside factory: including reviewing energy meters, (should be installed and not out of order) energy data, inventory of energy use, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>GHG emissions inventory, all direct and indirect energy consumption. All should be monitored and documented. </li></ul><ul><li>Meet all applicable local legal requirements for energy use and GHG emissions. </li></ul>
