  3. 3. One day, Mrs. Howe brought in a special snack to share with MissDunsiger. She brought in some Valentines Day Smarties.
  4. 4. Some of the Smarties were white ones, and some of the Smartieswere red ones. Mrs. Howe brought in two heart-shaped buckets tohold this special treat.
  5. 5. One heart-shaped bucket had 10 Smarties: some were whiteSmarties and some were red Smarties.
  6. 6. The other heart-shaped bucket had 4 white Smarties and 2 redSmarties.
