  • LOCAH is a UK based project.JISC Funded.Has made archival and bibliographic data available as linked data for Hub and Copac services.Archives Hub is an aggregation of archival descriptions from archive repositories in the UKCopac provides merged library catalogue data service for libraries through UK including all national libraries.LOCAH has external links to VIAF, DBPedia and Library of Congress and others, as well as geog and time based data.Web browser and machine readable views of the Archives Hub Linked Data resources available at data.archiveshub.ac.ukSPARQL and RDF dump also availableWe’re on the LOD Cloud.New Linking Lives project starting now.Linking Lives will develop a new web interface that presents useful resources relating to individual people, and potentially organisations as well.A name-based approach. Bringing archives together with other data sources.Inset screenshot gives an un-styled example from an experimental interface already in development by LOCAH team member Pete Johnston. We are looking to expand our links to include more external data, ideally museums, libraries and archives data. Also looking at text mining approaches using e.g. OpenCalais. We’re confident this will be of interest to researchers, and will enhance the academic research process.Very interested in what Europeana is doing, and finding ways to link to Europeana data.Archives Hub service also looking at possibility of providing data to Europeana.
