  2. 2. SOCIAL MEDIA (SM): 1. Dropbox - https://www.dropbox.com/ Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Dropbox was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, two MIT students tired of emailing files to themselves to work from more than one computer. Today, more than 200 million people across every continent use Dropbox to always have their stuff at hand, share with family and friends, and work on team projects.
  3. 3. SOCIAL MEDIA (SM): 2. Slideshare - www.slideshare.net/ SlideShare began with a simple goal: To share knowledge online. Since then, SlideShare has grown to become the world’s largest community for sharing presentations and other professional content. It allows users to easily upload and share presentations, infographics, documents, vi deos, PDFs, and webinars. SlideShare is among the top 120 most-visited websites in the world.
  4. 4. SOCIAL MEDIA (SM): 3. Vimeo - https://vimeo.com/ In 2004, Vimeo was founded by a group of filmmakers who wanted to share their creative work and personal moments from their lives. As time went on, likeminded people discovered Vimeo and helped build a supportive community of individuals with a wide range of passions. Today, millions of people from all around the world enjoy Vimeo
  5. 5. OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES (OER): 1. OpenLearn - http://www.open.edu/openlearn/ OpenLearn aims to break the barriers to education by reaching millions of learners around the world, providing free educational resources and inviting all to sample courses that our registered students take – for free!
  6. 6. OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES (OER): 2. Coursera - https://www.coursera.org/ Coursera is an education company that partners with the top universities and organizations in the world to offer courses online for anyone to take, for free. Its technology enables its partners to teach millions of students rather than hundreds.
  7. 7. MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES (MOOC): 1. Next Generation Infrastructures https://www.edx.org/course/delftx/delftx-ngi101x-nextgeneration-1238 In this course there can be explored the challenges of infrastructure design, management and governance for the future.
  8. 8. MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES (MOOC): 2. Structure Standing Still: The Statics of Everyday Objects https://www.coursera.org/course/staticsofobjects The Statics of Everyday Objects is a course about the world and how it reacts to the forces acting on it. From suspension bridges holding up miles of roadway, to sky-scraping buildings in the midst hurricanes, to huge dams retaining billions of gallons of water in a reservoir, these structures must withstand both the forces of nature and the forces that mankind has intended for them. The analytical tools that designers use to create these structures are deceptively simple, and it is the intent of this course to explain things in a clear, straightforward manner.
