The average Facebook user has 130Friends and spends 700 minutes permonth on the site.Every 60 seconds on Facebook there are:510,000 comments posted293,000 status updates136,000 photos uploadedThis adds up to over 30 billion pieces ofcontent being shared each month.Facebook alone accounts for 10% of allmobile data used on iPhones.
Twitter now has over 225,000,000 userswho send 150,000,000 tweets per day.That’s 1736 tweets per second.Their personal record so far was 8900tweets a second.Communication is becoming shorter withthe majority of tweets made up of only 40characters.The average user has 115 followers.

3500 photos are uploaded to Flickr everysecond.G+ is growing rapidly and already has50,000,000 users.Instagram’s 2,200,000 users upload3,600,000 new photos per week (or 6photos per second).Foursquare is now averaging 2,000,000check-ins a week.Smartphone owners are twice as active onsocial media as non-smartphone owners.Women are more active on social mediathen men (55% vs 45%).
