Male and Female Gamers A recent survey conducted by the Ipsos MediaCT for the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) discovered that 40% of gamers are female and the average age of a gamer is 35 years old. Women over 18 make up a larger percentage of gamers than boys under 17 (33% to 18%). Other results indicated that 65% of US households play videogames and 38% of US households own a videogame console system.
Game Developers So what or who are videogame developers? A videogame developer is a business or an individual software developer that creates games. Certain developers focus on specializing games for rivalry game system companies such as Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft.
