Douglas Kellner says “Radio, television, film, and the other products of media culture provide materials in which we forge our own identities; our sense of selfhood; our sense of what it means to be male or female; our sense of class, ethnicity, race, nationality, sexuality; and the difference between “us” and “them.” Douglas seems to say that everything in life is something we see through a type of media.
