  2. 2. Using AutoFill <ul><li>Open worksheet named Practice1 . Extend the months to June. </li></ul><ul><li>In column 1, complete the numbering 1 through 8. Do not change the current formatting of the column. In other words, the formatting of remainder of the numbers should be as the formatting of the other cells (only 1 and 2 should be large letters). Save the workbook with the filename Practice1Exercise and close workbook. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Insert Data Using AutoFill, Copy a series <ul><li>Open the Practice2 Workbook . USING THE FILL SERIES METHOD, copy the headings January through May for 2007 (similar to the way it is done for 2006). </li></ul><ul><li>Save the workbook with the name Practice2Exercise. Close workbook. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Ensuring Data Integrity <ul><li>Open the Practice3 Workbook . In Column B2:B11, allow only text to be entered. The length of text must be between 5 and 11 characters. </li></ul><ul><li>Allow any number less than 500 to be entered in Cell A14. </li></ul><ul><li>For Column E, restrict the data entered by creating a dropdown list that displays the following: Riverdale, Fayetteville, PeachtreeCity , so that only those cities can be selected and can be entered into the column. Save the workbook with the name Practice3Exercise. Close the workbook. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Modifying Cell Contents <ul><li>Open the Practice5 Workbook . Select range A5:F10. Move to A4:F9 </li></ul><ul><li>In Column C7:C9, INDIVIDUALLY CUT the values $320, $200 and $500. Delete the contents of the cells that were cut. Also, delete the contents of cell C15 ($600). Reveal the clipboard and PASTE THE $200 that is on the clipboard to cell C15. Save the workbook with the name Practice5Exercise. Do not close workbook. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Modifying Cell Content <ul><li>With Practice5Exercise Workbook still open, using the Cut and Paste method, select cell D15 and copy the Net Profit value and Paste it to cell F15. Do not paste the formula - just the value. </li></ul><ul><li>Select headings in cells B14:D14. Click in cell A17 and Paste using the Transpose method. Save your work with the filename Practice6Exercise. Do not close workbook. </li></ul>

Modifying Cell Content <ul><li>With Practice6Exercise workbook still open, apply a Thick Box Border around the value below Final Amount. </li></ul><ul><li>Copy the value below Final Amount to cell B19 but do not copy the borders. Save the workbook as Practice7Exercise. Close the Workbook. </li></ul>
  8. 8. Change Worksheet Views <ul><li>Open the Practice6 Workbook . Display the vertical ruler and change the height of row 40 pixels. </li></ul><ul><li>Using the Workbook views, move up the Page Break so that Page 1 contains the details of the worksheet and Page 2 contains the Summary of the worksheet. Do not close worksheet. Save the workbook with the name Practice8Exercise. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Change Worksheet Views <ul><li>Open the Practice6 Workbook . Create a Custom View and name it CustomView1. Accept any default settings. </li></ul><ul><li>Change to Full Screen View. Change back to Normal Layout. Save the workbook with the name Practice10Exercise Close workbook. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Freeze Pane <ul><li>Open the Practice6 Workbook . Freeze Pane so that the headings, Agent, List Price, Sale Price, etc. remain still in order to scroll vertically through the document and still be able to see the headings. </li></ul><ul><li>Save the workbook with the name Practice11Exercise. </li></ul>
  11. 11. Unfreeze Pane <ul><li>With Practice11Exercise workbook still open, Unfreeze the headings, Agent, List Price, Sale Price, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Save the WORKSPACE with the name UnFreeze. Close the Practice11Exercise workbook. </li></ul>
  12. 12. Hide Ribbon <ul><li>Open the Practice6 Workbook . Hide the Ribbon. </li></ul><ul><li>Save your worksheet as Practice12Exercise Close workbook. </li></ul>
  13. 13. Split Windows <ul><li>Open a brand new worksheet. Unhide the Ribbon. In row 1, create a heading called I-Net Specialist merging and centering Columns A through D. Use Style Heading Accent2 . Modify the font size to show the font size to be 20. </li></ul><ul><li>Split the screen into 4 quadrants. </li></ul><ul><li>Save workbook as Practice13Exercise. Do not close workbook. </li></ul>
  14. 14. Split Windows <ul><li>With Practice13Exercise workbook still open, scroll down to A29:D29 and enter the following text: Phone Number: 678-817-4444 . Ensure that the heading I-Net Specialist LLC and the phone number is visible. </li></ul><ul><li>Save workbook as Practice14Exercise. Do not close workbook. </li></ul>
  15. 15. Open and arrange new windows <ul><li>With Practice14Exercise workbook still open, open Practice13Exercise workbook. Arrange all windows and tile vertically. </li></ul><ul><li>Close Practice13Exercise workbook. Remove the split from Practice14Exercise. Restore Practice14Exercise workbook to normal size. Do Not close workbook. </li></ul>
  16. 16. Copy Worksheets <ul><li>With Practice14Exercise document still open, also open Practice6 workbook. With Practice6 workbook being the active workbook, copy the Sales Analysis Sheet to Practice14Exercise workbook between Sheet2 and Sheet3. Close Practice6 workbook. </li></ul><ul><li>Within the Practice14Exercise workbook, move the Sales Analysis Sheet from between Sheet2 and Sheet3 to before Sheet1. Do not close workbook. </li></ul>

  20. 20. Copy Worksheets <ul><li>With Practice15Exercise workbook still open, unhide Sheet 3 and then Delete Sheet3. </li></ul><ul><li>Save your work on Practice16Exercise workbook. </li></ul>
