Mission<br />The Trevor Project was established to provide a safe place for LGBTQ youth to talk and receive the support they need.<br />The ultimate goal of the project is to end suicide among LGBTQ youths.<br />The hope is that youth, regardless of orientation, will be able to have the same possibilities, opportunities, and dreams for the future.<br />

Values of the Project (ACI)<br />Acceptance<br />The Trevor Project is open to everyone regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.<br />Commitment<br />The staff and volunteers are there 24 hours a day 7 days a week.<br />Innovation<br />They hold non-profit fundraisers (events, Circle of Hope, mailings) in order to expand the reach and range of the program.<br />

Some History<br />The Trevor Project was founded by James Lecesne and funded by the Colin Higgins Foundation.<br />It was established after finding out that no support groups existed.<br />Now the project is a vital resource to educator, and parents, besides being a safe supportive resource for young people.<br />

  10. 10. TREVORSPACE<br />This online network was founded for youth to connect with friends and allies across the country, besides having information about resources in their communities.<br /><br />
