Commissioners have piloted a voice-driven Virtual Digital
Assistant to recognize and respond to phone queries
about tax clearance certificates and, in some cases, to
process applications for those certificates.

standard processes and to provide informational support
when speaking to taxpayers.
AI will provide the opportunity to reskill the workforce, moving
workers away from routine tasks to focus on higher-value, more
