6. 6.

Cave paintings are the oldest artefacts around. Most cave paintings focused on hunters and their animals. The cave men used natural colours like mineral pigments such as red ochre and black manganese. They drew people as stick figures but for animals they drew them and coloured them in with natural colours to give them shape and more substance. Most cave men put their hand against the cave wall and outlined it as a way to say this was made by me, it is now visualized as a signature.

A traditional artefact could be a carved painting which was cherished from many years ago. 11. 11. Impact of Technology Costumes/Outfits : Technology like sewing machines have a disadvantage as well as high-tech camera ’ s. The costumes or outfits made by a sewing machine may not be as special as clothes or outfits hand made as it didn’t take enough time, effort or care. Costumes/Outfits : Technology like sewing machines has speeded up the process of creating clothes. Photography : Technology like high-tech camera ’ s have a disadvantage on photos and pictures as it could be classed as less sentimental and less precious than old photos or paintings or drawings as it did not take enough time and effort. Photography : Technology like high-tech camera ’ s have improved the quality of artefacts such as photos and pictures by giving more detail. Negative of technology Positive of technology
 12. 12. Impact of Technology Different types of artefacts have been created over the years like photography. With the help of technology photography has improved, in the past photographers used big cameras which would print pictures in the two known colors ; black and white. Now we have high- tech cameras with 160 mega pixels. They ’ re coloured with detail that some people don ’ t even notice. This piece of technology has had a positive impact on photography as it has improved the quality of pictures and photos. With the help of technology like sewing machines, artefacts like clothes and costumes can have perfect stitching and incredible patterns to give effects. On the other hand sewing machines can be a negative impact on clothes as they are not as precious as hand stitched clothing.
