Assignment on Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), is the largestintegrated gas company serving more than 2.5 million consumersin North Central Pakistan through an extensive network in Punjaband NWFP. The Company has over 42 years of experience inoperation and maintenance of high-pressure gas transmission anddistribution systems. It has also expanded its activities to undertakethe planning, designing and construction of pipelines, both foritself and other organizations. SNGPL operates in a region of thenation that has a rapidly growing demand for natural gas and powergeneration due to significant industrial development.SNGPL was incorporated as a private limited Company in 1963and converted into a public limited company in January 1964 underthe Companies Act 1913, now Companies Ordinance 1984, and islisted on all the three Stock Exchanges of the Country.

SNGPL transmission system extends from Sui in Balochistan toPeshawar in North West Frontier Province (NWFP) comprisingover 6121 KM of Transmission System(Main lines & Loop lines).The distribution activities covering 142 main towns along withadjoining villages in Punjab & NWFP are organized through 8regional offices. Distribution system consists of 32,146 KM ofpipeline and 42,622 KM of service lines (as at August 2005).SNGPL has 2,536,700 consumers comprising Domestic,Commercial, General Industry, Fertilizer, Power Generation,Cement Sectors & CNG. Sales to these consumers were 13,616,765HM3 worth 8,960.79 million rupees during August 2005. Annualgas sale for year 2004-2005 was 151,317,856 HM3 worth84,710.40 million rupees with Companys earning per share at Rs.5.52/-.The company’s objectives: • Quality Consumer Services. • Clean, Efficient and Reliable Gas Delivery. • Healthy and Safe Working Conditions. • Fair Return to Shareholders. • Optimal usage of its resources. • Quality management.Vision:To be the leading integrated natural gas provider in the regionseeking to improve the quality of life of our customers and achievemaximum benefit by for our stakeholders by providing anuninterrupted and environment friendly energy resource.

There are two servicecenters established two years ago and working in MULTAN. Onecenter is beside its regional office near Zaid town Piran GhaibRoad Multan and the other is near octeroi no. 9. The serviceswhich they offer at there service centers are: • To get the new connection of Sui Gas you can visit its center. All the related information is provided their. • All the complaints (Leakage, Low pressure, other faults, etc) are handled by the center. The company has employed staff to remove the complaints of there customers free of cost. • To get the duplicate bill if original bill is lost you can contact the center.
