  • These are common sense but easy said than done. Many U.S. companies lost out on the global competition because their company's purpose was to make good money, instead of good products. Case in point, when Toyota and Honda started making cars that did not break down (reliability, your point number 2), people stopped buying U.S. cars even at a lower price. Consumers are willing to pay more for higher qualities but not necessarily for extra features.
