  2. 2. Times Of India The Times of India (TOI) is an Indian English-language daily newspaper. According to Audit Bureau of Circulations, it has the largest circulation among all English-language newspapers in the world, across all formats. It is owned and published by Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. which is owned by the Sahu Jain family.

Achievement in SalesIn the year 2008, the newspaper reportedthat (with a circulation of over 3.14 million) itwas certified by the Audit Bureau ofCirculations (India) as the worlds largestselling English-language daily, ranking it asthe 8th largest selling newspaper in anylanguage in the world.
  4. 4. Current Situation The Times of India is published by the media group Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. This company, along with its other group companies, known as The Times Group, also publishes The Economic Times, Mumbai Mirror, Pune Mirror, Bangalore Mirror, Ahmedabad Mirror, the Navbharat Times, the Maharashtra Times.
  5. 5. Circulation around Tri-City The Times of Chandigarh is circulated around the Tricity also stretching its distribution to Rajpura, Patiala, Derabassi, Zirakpur, Kalka , Baddi and Pinjore. Approximately 50,000 subscribers prevail in the above given region.

Rates for advertising in TOI The TOI offers packages on advertisements. Before a client decides to advertise, TOI offers them 2 packages i.e. BASE and MULTIPLE If the client wants to advertise in TOI which is to be distributed around the tricity region, they charge from 370 Rs/ for base and 175 Rs/

TOI TOI does not practice full front page advertisements, but provide with half and full page covers which they term as JACKETS. Full and Half jackets. For back page advertisements, whose specifications to be précised is 1727 with a width of 32.9 and 52.5 height. However, the colored and black and white advertisements cost the same.
  8. 8. TOI Supplements TOI has various supplements ranging from health, education, environment, real estate and classifieds. All supplements have their own cost. For instance to advertise in health supplements, the cost is around Rs 85/ To advertise in education supplements it costs around 190/
  9. 9. TOI’s attempt for retainingclients TOI also has current offers to attract advertisers. Along with the multi and base rates, until the first week of july, TOI is offering 1+1 if one advertises a 170 sq cm ad.
  10. 10. TOI Feature Articles TOIalso prints feature articles. The TOI terms this as MEDIA NET PAID ARTICLES. However, the price for advertising in TOI is equal to these kind of articles and measured in per sq cm.
