  4. 5. <ul><li>Sitting back & waiting, without experiencing anxiety, tension or frustration. </li></ul><ul><li>Displaying tolerance, compassion towards immature people </li></ul><ul><li>Hanging on relation when trouble arises. </li></ul><ul><li>Being Calm and considerate as you handle the growth in your committed relationship. </li></ul>

Negative consequence of being impatient <ul><li>Risk of being upset at yourself slow pace. </li></ul><ul><li>Easily losing control on the slow paced people. </li></ul><ul><li>Worrying about how slow things are going. </li></ul><ul><li>Sacrificing relationship for your personal desire. </li></ul><ul><li>Ignoring all the positive gains. </li></ul><ul><li>Neglecting the blessings of our life. </li></ul>

How we feel when we are impatient <ul><li>Irritated. </li></ul><ul><li>Ignored. </li></ul><ul><li>Anxious </li></ul><ul><li>Tensed </li></ul><ul><li>Nervous </li></ul><ul><li>Burned Out </li></ul><ul><li>Frustrated. </li></ul><ul><li>Forgotten. </li></ul><ul><li>Misdirected. </li></ul><ul><li>Misunderstood. </li></ul><ul><li>Over stressed. </li></ul><ul><li>Over-responsible. </li></ul>

Beliefs of people who lack patience <ul><li>I should be able to do this faster and better than what I am </li></ul><ul><li>They should understand me. </li></ul><ul><li>Why can’t they change quicker than what they are. </li></ul><ul><li>If I change & grow, you should be equally change and grow. </li></ul>
  8. 9. <ul><li>I could never accomplish my goal of growth and change, so there is no use in even getting started. </li></ul><ul><li>I am trying to change, but you keep on falling back into your old habits, that must mean you aren’t trying as hard as I am. </li></ul>

  10. 11. <ul><li>Develop a consistent philosophy of life. </li></ul><ul><li>Take life one day at a time. </li></ul><ul><li>Consider each day as a gift of life. </li></ul><ul><li>Through this mindset we can get one step closer to our goal of growth and change. </li></ul>
  11. 12. 2. Reframe your perspective <ul><li>Do not dwell on your past mistake and failings. </li></ul><ul><li>Do not worry about what you will become or how you will act in the future. </li></ul><ul><li>Begin to live each new day, as a fresh day </li></ul>
  12. 13. 3. Break larger goals. <ul><li>Break larger goals down into components that are small term goals and objectives. </li></ul><ul><li>Smaller goals can be more realistically and attainable in the near future. </li></ul>
  13. 14. 4. Systematic in planning <ul><li>Be systematic in planning your path of recovery and growth. </li></ul><ul><li>This will lead you to be more effective in your relationships. </li></ul>
  14. 15. 5. Accept, Understand & Forgive <ul><li>Accept, understand and forgive yourself for being imperfect and weak. </li></ul><ul><li>You need to become your own best friend and cheerleader. </li></ul><ul><li>Love yourself…….as you love others. </li></ul>
  15. 16. 6. Confront your fears <ul><li>Confront your fear about attaining your goal. </li></ul><ul><li>Remember, the world was not created in a day. Beautiful works of art and literary masterpieces were not created in a day. </li></ul><ul><li>A lifetime is not lived in a day. </li></ul>
  16. 17. 7. Wake up to the realities of life <ul><li>Everyone with whom you come in contact is busy working thru their own struggle, weakness, setbacks etc. </li></ul><ul><li>There is no one exempted from this journey. </li></ul><ul><li>It takes a life time to compete this journey. </li></ul>
