31. RCC TANKS SINTEX - SMC PANEL TANKS 1 to 6 months required for construction of tank. Half to one month required for construction of tank (from order to installation). Curing time after construction is also long. Curing time is nil. Thermal insulation is poor. Thermal insulation is excellent. Size of the tank cannot be modified (increased or decreased) once tank is build. SMC panel tanks can be modified as an when required. No possibility to dismantle and relocate in case of change in site. Easy to dismantle and shift in case of change in site. Cannot be installed where concrete cannot be transported (like finished buildings) Can be installed any place where there is access to take tank components.
