  2. 2. Download WAMP Server from  http://www.wampserver.com/en
  3. 3. Download Joomla from  http://www.joomla.org/download  For this demo I am using 2.5.14
  4. 4. Installing WAMP Server (Step – 1)

  9. 9. Installing WAMP Server (Step – 6)

  11. 11. Installing WAMP Server (Step – 8)
  12. 12. Installing WAMP Server (Step – 9) On task bar click on Test Port 80
  13. 13. Installing WAMP Server (Step – 10) If port 80 is used by any other process, you can change port of Apache Server
  14. 14. Installing WAMP Server (Step – 11) Open httpd.conf file in notepad.
  15. 15. Installing WAMP Server (Step – 12) Change the port value to desired value as shown & restart service of Apache.
  16. 16. Installing Joomla (Step – 1) Unzip Joomla package & copy it under “wampwwwjoomla” directory.
  17. 17. Installing Joomla (Step – 2) Open URL “http://localhost:8888/joomla/installation/” in web browser. Where 8888 is apache port in this case. Select language & click “Next”
  18. 18. Installing Joomla (Step – 3) Review prerequisites, If ok click “Next”
  19. 19. Installing Joomla (Step – 4) Review the license terms, If ok click “Next”
  20. 20. Installing Joomla (Step – 5) Enter MySQL credentials & Database name.
  21. 21. Installing Joomla (Step – 6) Enter FTP credentials or you can skip this step.
  22. 22. Installing Joomla (Step – 7) Enter Admin User name & password along with other necessary fields.
  23. 23. Installing Joomla (Step – 8) Now you will be asked to delete “installation” folder. Delete this folder located under “Joomla” directory & click on “Administrator” button
  24. 24. Installing Joomla (Step – 9) Enter Administrator credential to login to site.
  25. 25. Welcome to the wonderful world of “Joomla”
